Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hello everyone, We wanted to take this time and wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Since my last post, we have visited many churches and have been spending a lot of time also taking care of Family.
I promise to update soon. (I know I said that last time)

We just have some special prayer requests at this time.
John's Brother, Richard Thiem in Tucson, Az. He needs a Double Lung Transplant and is in very serious condition. We have spent over 3 weeks there in the past few months. Richard was put on a ventilator and then a Tracheotomy was done. He is now breathing with the Tracheotomy and Oxygen. Please pray for this situation, that the Lord's will be done. As you know from our past, we have been this route before and It is very hard to stand by your family member and feel helpless. That's where we seek strength from our Lord and Savior.

My Uncle, Buster Yarbrough in Visalia, Ca has been hospitalized in very serious condition. I ask you pray for the Lords will there also.

We are currently in Midland, Texas where John has been able to work on the church here some and also the parsonage, while I help my Mother with some business here. Pray for my Mother who is now 80 and having health problems along with dealing with some serious business issues.

Thank you all for your Prayers, Love and Support this past year.
Watch for, in the next posting, pictures of John working on a Macedonian project in Seymour, Indiana where he spent 2 weeks. I'm waiting for pictures from that project to be sent to us, since I wasn't able to go and take the pictures.
Your Mission Builders, John and Esther

Aug 2008 report

Hello again, I know I haven't been very good at adding pictures lately. Will try and add when I have better Internet service, otherwise downloading takes forever. We just got back from a much needed vacation and feel refreshed to get started on some more projects. Thank you all for the prayers, words of encouragement and love.

Dear Church family and Sister Churches,
August was a slower month for us. We were able to visit Shafter MBC and Landmark MBC in Visalia and report what we have been doing this past year. It was a blessing to be with these churches in their services. We also had the opportunity to visit Landmark MBC in Arroyo Grande and Landmark MBC in Lompoc, Ca. The fellowship was wonderful. Later in the month we were able to go up to Camp Metoche, where John and Bro. Oscar Hendrix were able to do a few electrical projects. Pray for us as we pray about a Macedonian project in one of our churches in Indiana, scheduled for November 2008. If possible we will try and make the trip to Indiana.
If you have a project need, contact Bro. Richard Wharton with Chapel Builders.
He coordinates and schedules all projects we work on together. Contact him at
(559)681-0908 or e-mail him at chapbuilder@comcast.net. We work as Team workers with Bro. Richard and Sis. Robyn Wharton. God bless and keep you.
In his service,
John and Esther Thiem, Mission Builders

July 2008 report

July 31, 2008

Dear Church family and Sister Churches,

Another month has gone by. It’s hard to believe the year is already half over. In July we worked in a few more of our churches and also helped on a Retired preachers home. We started the month finishing up in Chehalis, Wa. We then started the long trip home, making a stop at Pixley MBC where John and Bro. Richard installed new ceiling fans in the Sanctuary. After coming home for a few days, John headed back in our car to the Fresno area. He helped Bro. Richard install new ceiling fans in the Sanctuary at FMBC Fresno and then they put a new roof on Bro. and Sis. Godbeheres home. Some of this work and visits to other churches I reported on last month, had to be delayed as Bro. Richard and Sis. Robyn’s trailer broke down on their return trip home from Washington. God has been so good to us. He has supplied our every need. On our trip home from Washington we also had some repairs that had to be made to our RV. God kept us all safe, when disaster could have happened. We serve a GREAT GOD. We can never thank you enough for your prayers and support.
God bless you all.

June 2008 report

June 30, 2008

Dear Church family and Sister Churches,
June has been a busy, busy month. We had the opportunity to start the month singing
in Pixley, Ca for their Homecoming service after finishing work in Lompoc, Ca. We then headed home for a week to rest up and prepare for our trip to Spokane, Wa for the ABA meeting. We were able to take a few days vacation on our way to Spokane and then enjoyed our time at a very harmonious ABA meeting.
After the meeting we headed to Otis Orchard, Wa. where we worked on a project at the Bethel MB church. We then headed to Chehalis, Wa. to work on Calvary MB Mission where we are still working. On our way home we will be visiting two of our supporting churches. (Visalia and Shafter). John and Bro. Richard will be roofing Bro and Sis Godbehere’s home in Madera, Ca and then do some electrical work in Pixley, Ca. Because of fuel prices we sometimes have to be gone longer than we would like to be from our church family. It is hard and we miss our church family. Thank you again for your continued support. Without you we would not be able to continue helping our churches. God has been so good to keep us safe and well in our travels. Continue to pray for us, that we would always be found faithful and put him first in our lives. July 6th we will celebrate our 35th anniversary. God has been with us through the good times and bad. “We are so blessed”. God bless and keep you.

May 2008 report, I will start adding this to our blog every month

Redlands FMBC Builders

May 31, 2008

Dear Church Family and Sister Churches,

You probably know by now, our favorite saying is God is good! All the time! He has seen us safely through another month of travel, building and provided our every need even with Diesel prices escalating to $4.95 a gallon. We have had an incredible month, busy but busy is good. We have had the opportunity to work on several projects this month. The beginning of May we finished the project in Banning. We then headed to Calvary M.B.C. in Santa Paula where John installed 21 light fixtures in the church building. The last two and half weeks of the month were spent at the Landmark M.B.C. in Lompoc repairing the roof, painting their building, remodeling two bathrooms and installing a few more light fixtures. John has just been lighting up our churches all over the state of California. While in Lompoc, Esther had the opportunity to speak at the Central Coast District Ladies meeting and present our ministry. They have supported us several times. Pray for us as we travel to the ABA meeting in Spokane, Washington and then come back by the Calvary Baptist Mission in Chehalis, Washington to work on their building and help with their lighting needs.. We cannot thank you enough for your support, prayers and love.
God bless you,
John and Esther Thiem, Mission Builders
