Project at FMBC Manteca, Ca

Pastor, Bro Mark William preaching Wed evening.

FMBC Manteca, Ca received funds from CMD (California Mission Developement) and wanted to put security lights in around the church, lights over their church sign, new fan lights and new flourescent lights. So John and Esther along with Oscar and Florence Hendrix from Redlands headed to Manteca, Ca March 31st and spent the week working on these projects.
We had a wonderful time of fellowship and food with Bro Mark, Pastor, Sis Amanda and the church.

Oscar started by repairing the fence and reinforcing it. Men and their toys!

John installed a fan light in the Pastors office.

Several of these security lights were put in many locations around the church and parsonage.

They asked us to sing a few songs

The sign was recently refinished in front of the church. We will add lights later to this sign.

All done

What a blessing to work on this church. They are excited and have given the church a face lift and are going door to door witnessing to their community. Pray for Manteca and Bro Mark and Sis Amanda as they work in this field of labor.
With the rest of the funds from CMD new carpet will be laid next week.
Thank you for the hospitality Manteca.

Feb update- Pictures to come

In Feb we spent some time at home getting some much needed projects done. Bro Richard Wharton came to our area with his tractor to help us prepare a parking area for our Motorhome at our daughters and son-in-laws home. John and Richard also built a shed for our family so that we could save on expenses of storage rental and RV parking. This will help us greatly on expenses so we can continue our ministry and put the money toward fuel instead.
Watch for pictures soon.

Update for Jan 2008

Hello, January finds John working on several different projects. John worked on church members homes, our pastors home and then he drove up to Fresno (while I was in Texas). Here in Fresno he has worked with Richard on 2 preachers homes, and worked on FMBC of Fresno. Now finishing up a pastor's home and hope to work on The Keyes MBC next week. There has been a lot of rain and cold weather but the guys have been doing mostly inside work. A week ago I flew to Fresno from Texas and met John. I'm helping where I can on projects. So far haven't taken many pictures. Will try and take more.

Update

Hello, I know it has been some time since I updated, but here is what is going on with us.
We took a few weeks off to relax and found we really were needing something to do. John has been working on some church members homes and also a few preachers homes. He is heading out tomorrow to Fresno to help Richard Wharton on a few projects in Fresno and the Modesto area. I am currently in Midland, Texas taking care of my Mother who had minor surgery yesterday and also helping around the house. I will be flying home and then driving to meet John in my car. Pray for safe travels for all of us.
God bless, John and Esther

Merry Christmas

We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. The best Christmas you could ever have would be to receive that free gift of salvation Jesus is just waiting to give you. You just have to acccept it. Won't you choose to accept him today!

God bless and keep you,
Your Mission builders.
John and Esther

Projects at home

We have been home for awhile, so after resting up John has worked on some church members homes and then took on putting up new lights in our church. After searching for some time, we found the lights we thought would be the most efficient, but also beautiful for our sanctuary. Thank you for all of those who helped John. We will be installing some more lights in another church after the holidays, along with helping on other church projects.

We are real pleased with the outcome, looks like these were always a part of the church

Special Prayer request from Missionary In Chehalis, Wa

Hello, here is a special prayer request. This Mission point is very dear to our hearts as we were privileged to work on the church building with this mission. Please read the report and pray for this community.

Here is our town (Chehalis) where we live and serve as a misionary of the American Baptist Association. Please pray for us and the many families from Calvary Missionary Baptist Mission that have flood damage and have lost their homes.
The Missions Builiding is okay, only the Parking Lot is flooded and we praise the Lord so far we have not gotten any water into the building nor sanctuary. God is so good!!! Our Interstate 5 is thirteen feet under water in places and is completely closed down for 20 miles. Our community needs Christ and as we see this devistation may it burden our hearts for our neigbours and those we are close to so that we may share Christ before it is too late.

If you would like to contact us: my cell phone is (360-304-9840) service is intermittent
Sponsoring Church Missions Director: Rick Bailey cell phone: 805-320-9388
Please be in Prayer as we recover and heal from this tragedy. Please pray for our familes so we may minister to this community and show Jesus to Chehalis. 90% of people in Washington State do not attend Church anywhere and claim no religious affilitation. They are lost and in need of a Saviour...

Thanks,
Missionary Jason Rigby

It was great to return to Reedsburg where we worked over 3 months on this building in 2006.
The Lord has really blessed this work
