Day 4, Hood River, Oregon project

On a project there is lot's fun, Food and fellowship. We ended today eating, of course. Much was accomplished today. The trusses are done, the roofing completely removed from one complete side. The new part of the roof has been tied into the old. The plywood has been laid on almost all of one side. It is starting to cool down some, so with some cooler weather, the guys can get a lot further. The wind is blowing pretty hard gusts, so pray that the weather will cooperate. The electrical has been started inside also, which is easier without roofing, insulation, etc in the way. Like I said before, the first picture is the end of the day. Progression is going backwards in pictures.

Jay says, yum, Fried chicken(Baptist Bird) Fried Okra,
Tomatoe Gravy and rice(something new to me) Frog eyed Salad ?(It was delicious) and lot's of desserts! The ladies from the church make the best pies. Blackberry, Marionberry, blueberry,Peach, apple or pear apple. They have the best fruit around.

It's still hot on the roof, so they need more breaks. Here is the modification that had to be made to the roof. You see the old part which is 1 1/2 inches lower than the new trusses.

Nice brand new John Deere tractor. Owned by one of the potential members. Esther's going for a ride on it. They said, I might even get to drive it! Will see, watch for pictures.!

Stan is waiting for the next measurement. How much did you say Richard?
